Special about our finca: the water policy
Water is an important resource. That’s why we handle it with care ! We made a self-sufficient water system for the bathrooms. The shower, sink and toilet work on rainwater. That water is collected during the rainy season. This gives us a buffer to provide the bathrooms with water during the dry season. The shower water and sink water are led through a pipe system and siphon to a lower garden with trees. Not a drop of this precious water goes to waste ! The trees and plants withstand the drought more easily. You can see the smaller ones grow and the big ones keep their foliage longer !
Free transportation between Barichara and Finca San Vicente
The BB is just outside Barichara, towards Guane, a ten-minute drive from the city center. You can get there easily using the map navigation apps Waze and Google maps, with the name of the hotel. You can also use one of the many mototaxis in the picturesque central market square, which our BB knows all too well, for as little as 10,000 pesos.
If you want to use public transportation, we offer you free transportation on the day of your arrival and departure. To reach Barichara during your stay there are several options. You can easily drive with us to the village, you can also walk along the Tobares trail (old tobacco route) and return with a mototaxi (tuctuc).
Or walk via the old ‘Camino Real Barichara – Guane‘ in combo with the country road of ‘vereda Lubigara’ that leads to the BB.
